She married Allen Graves on June 22 1950 in Minneapolis, Minnesota where they raised their children. They retired in 1984 and moved back to Blackwell, WI. Joanne loved her grandchildren, great grandchildren, sewing, crafting and spending time with her family. She is survived by one Daughter Penny (Bert) Christianson Townsend, WI. Son's Keith (Dixie) Graves and Jerry (Brenda) Graves both of Blackwell, WI. Sister; Sandra Johann, Green Bay, WI and two Sisters- in- law; Ann Alderton, Minneapolis, MN and Carol Alderton, Milwaukee, WI, 8 Grandchildren, 13 Great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Parents; Joseph Alderton and Bertha (Erickson) Alderton, Husband; Allen Graves, Son; Bruce and 3 Brothers; Gary, William and Hurley Alderton. Visitation will be on July 2 at St. John's Lutheran Church Laona, WI from 1:00 pm to the time of the Memorial Service at 2:00 pm Pastor Sheldon Kerstner officiating.
