Alda J. Brooks, age 78, of Cavour passed away with her family by her side July 8, 2009 at St. Vincent’s hospital. Alda was born January 28, 1931 in Crandon to the late Edward and Anna (Tromp) King. She married Ron Brooks April 21, 1951 in Crandon.
Alda enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter. She was an EMT for Laona rescue squad and would deer hunt in her earlier years. Alda was an avid baker and cook; hunters would come to the house just to get her homemade bread. She loved the outdoors, but most of all spending the summers at Lake LaFave.
Alda was a big animal lover and enjoyed the company of her dog, Cocoa. She will be sadly missed.
She is survived by her husband Ron Brooks, Cavour
Daughters; Debra Brooks, Wales, WI, Beth (Paul) Aschenbrenner, Cavour, Patricia (Warren) Egan, Cavour, Shelley (Jeff) Stauber, Green Bay, and Lorie Albrecht, Crandon 12 grandchildren and one great granddaughter

She is preceded in death by her parents Ed and Anna, 7 sisters and 4 brothers.
Visitation will be held July 10 from 4 – 7 p.m. at Weber-Hill Funeral Home, Crandon and again on Saturday from 9 – 10 a.m. at St Leonard Catholic Church. Funeral Mass to follow at 10 a.m. with Father John Cerkas officiating. Weber-Hill Funeral Home, Crandon is assisting the family. Online condolences to www.weberhillfuneralhome.com
