Name: Johanna Johnson Date: April 5th, 1928 - August 8th, 2009 Obituary: Joanna (Hupf-Bos) Johnson age 81 of Wabeno, died on August 8, 2009 at Langlade Memorial Hospital, Antigo. She was born in Wabeno on April 5, 1928 to the late John and Rosella Bath Gregg. She lived most of her life in Wabeno. Johanna was a faithful member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Wabeno and the Christian Mothers. During her younger days she was a very skillful ice skater and roller skater. She also enjoyed bowling. Joanna first married Ed Hupf, He died at the age of 27 of a motor vehicle accident in 1956 leaving her with 4 young children. She then married Clarence Bos in 1957 and he died in 1969 leaving her an additional 3 young children. Then in 1972, Joanna married Joe Johnson and they celebrated almost 30 years of marriage before he passed away on Sept 17, 2002. With her husband Joe Johnson, Joanna loved to go to flea markets, and spend winters in Yuma, AZ Joanna will be remembered as a wonderful mother and grandmother not only to her own family but also to the neighborhood kids. Joanna is survived by 9 children: Larry (Diane) Hupf, Appleton Roseann (John) Tiede, Wabeno Susan (Ken) Posselt, St. Mary’s Idaho MaryJo Hupf, Hobson, Montona Martin Bos, DePere Daniel Bos, Madison Andrew (Ann) Bos, Freedom (Appleton area) Mary (Ron) Graves, Wabeno Mary Fran (Bruce) Beck, Madison She is further survived by: One half-brother John (Jonelle) Gregg, Wabeno Half-sister 19 grandchildren 20 great-grandchildren. Joanna was preceded in death by her 3 husbands. The visitation is on Tues. August 11 at the Suminski Weber-Hill Funeral Home, Wabeno from 4 p.m.- 8 p.m.. There will be a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. She will also be in state on Wed. August 12 at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 am. The funeral Mass is at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Wabeno with Fr. David Schmidt officiating assisted by Deacon Harold Orlowski. Interment is in the Church Cemetery.
